Ampol Goulburn Demolition & Remediation

The Ampol Goulburn project involved the demolition of existing service station structures including the removal of above‑ground buildings, underground storage tanks, associated pipework, and contaminated soils.

The Ampol Goulburn project comprised the controlled demolition and remediation of a former service station to meet redevelopment and environmental compliance needs. The scope included removal of hazardous building materials, the demolition of all above‑ground structures, the removal and disposal of underground storage tanks and associated fuel pipework, and the remediation of contaminated soils identified on site. These works were undertaken as part of a structured Demolition and Remediation Program designed to meet NSW regulatory and planning requirements.

Planning considerations included environmental constraints, site history, and the need to remove contamination to a standard suitable for future development. Management measures covered construction noise and vibration control, staff awareness, explosive atmosphere monitoring requirements and mitigation strategies, all documented within the project’s management plans.

The project formed part of Ampol’s broader strategy to remediate legacy service station sites, ensuring they meet current safety, environmental, and planning standards before being repositioned for new future use.
